Maria Garcia is a Woodworker based in Dallas, Texas.

Named for the very fine sandpaper in a woodoworker’s toolbox, 600 Grit showcases the work of artisan Maria Garcia. Her love of wood is evident in every piece. Maria’s design aesthetic and approach reveals the beautiful grains and natural colors of each variety, combining them expertly in unique designs and structures. In her studio, craftsmanship dovetails with creativity, producing beautiful utilitarian works of art.

Maria Garcia started her fine woodworking career more than a decade ago, after receiving a degree in art history and working for the Denver Art Museum. Her passion for the craft came from a desire to design and build one-of-a-kind objects that are used in daily life.

She lives with her husband, Dan and their Havanese dog, Domino in Dallas, TX
